Grandmother's Prayer

The praying hands represent agreement; put your finger on it and read the prayer to activate the promise in Matthew 18:19; “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” (KJV) Miracles happen to those who believe.

Heavenly Father, the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and my grandmother, Essie Thompson, thank you for using, these, our ancestors, to help lead me to You.

A Prayer for Grandmothers

Prayer Author and Intercessor:

Sister Myrtice Robinson

I praise Your beautiful name, a name above all names and a name with miraculous power, miraculous presence and knowledge. Truly, You are worthy to be praised! You are the Creator of all things and Master over everything! I praise You God! As it is stated in Psalm 50: 12, “If You were hungry, You would not have to ask anyone for nothing because the earth is yours, and the fullness thereof.” Who would not praise and serve a God like You? You are so giving and sharing, so kind and good with unconditional love. You are so forgiving and refreshing. Obedience should not be hard for anyone to do when it comes to a relationship with You. Tell me Holy Spirit what to do and I desire to do it! Your Word in Matthew 11: 28-30 says, “For Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light.”

Let the eyes of every grandmother focus on Your mighty righteous hands and let us see You make godly grandmothers; touch our minds, bodies, and souls to think, act, and believe like Jesus! No one can make a godly grandmother BUT YOU! Your supernatural power has made grandmothers enjoy aging and yet keep our heart young to love others.

Heavenly Father season our faith with trust in You without a doubt and guide our teaching to our grandchildren, so it brings forth good fruits. Bless our presence with them to bring joy and not anger, prosperity and not poverty. Touch our hands and our hearts to be cheerful givers to the needy and let our life stories lead all grandchildren to You. And, make our zest and dance teach them to praise and worship You. Let the words of our mouths and the meditation of our hearts be acceptable in thy sight O Lord be our strength as You are our redeemer. (Psalm 19:14) “Forgive our hidden faults and keep us (grandmothers) from willful sins; may they not rule over us then we will appear blameless, innocent of great transgression, (Psalm 19: 12-13) as we represent You in the presence of our grandchildren and others. We call out to You God to create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit in us. Holy Spirit join us and never leave us alone on this Grandmothers of Hope Society Ministry journey. To God be the Glory! These prayer requests I ask In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Holy Father,

I come to you in the most humbling way I know. Your word to our children from KJV of first John 2:1, is that they sin not. If they do sin, they have an advocate with the father, Jesus Christ the righteous. Father I lift up to you any child who has been convicted of committing a crime, help him to know that you are there for him and through you all things are possible. let him know he can ask for forgiveness, ask and accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, worship and do his will. Thank you, Father, for your grace and mercy. In Jesus name I pray and thank you.

Amen

Prayers for Salvation

Child’s Salvation

Prayer Author and Intercessor:

Sister Joann Greene

Father God in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ,

I give you thanks for everything you have done in my life. Thank you for my children, grandchildren and their children. Your word in Proverbs 22:6 (KJV), tells us to “train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Father, I acknowledge You and Your word in my life and will always ask the Holy Spirit to speak through me so that I may speak to my children, grandchildren, their children and others regarding the goodness of Jesus Christ. Please give me the time and guidance to continue pouring Your word into my lineage and others so they be happy to accept You as their Lord and Savior. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray.

Amen.

Lord I come to you, again, on behalf of my children, grandchildren, as well as for all children all over the world.  Lord, I know that no one can come to You unless You draw them. (John 6:44) I ask that you draw my own children and grands to believe in Jesus so that they might be saved to spend eternity with You. (John 3:15) Please give them tender hearts to know You and to grow in the knowledge of Your Son.  (2 Peter 3)

Since you have made Your salvation known and revealed your righteousness to all of us at the cross, (Psalm 98:2), please overwhelm them with the reality of Your unfailing love and bless them with your salvation. (Psalm 85:7) Help my family to have eyes to see and ears to hear all that you have done and planned for them.

Open their minds and hearts to the reality that all have sinned so that their repentance will lead to Your saving grace. (2 Corinthians 7:10) Help them to fully understand the sacrifice You made at Calvary and to accept You into their hearts as their Lord and Savior. Though I pray You will allow me to see all my children saved before you call me home, I will trust and praise You, even now, that you will honor my prayer in own Your time. Lord,You are patient and You do not wish for any of us to perish (Matthew 18:14) I ask these blessings in the name of Jesus. Thank you, Lord, and Amen.

Father God I now stand in the gap to pray for my grandchild(ern) salvation. Lord I might not be here one day to nurture them a long the way, but my hope is in you and that my prayer will be heard.

I pray that for the grandchildren that are old enough to understand Your world will know, accept and confess that You died on the cross for our sins and accept You in their hearts that they will be saved. Likewise, when those that are too young to understand now, that will soon come to know and accept You.

John 3:16

I pray that they believe and be baptized and not be condemned.

Mark 16:16

Father I pray that they will know that what is impossible with man, is possible with You.

Prayers for Protection

My Prayer for Protection

Prayer Author and Intercessor:

Sister Patricia Smith

Lord, again, I am lifting my children, grandchildren, and grandchildren all over the world to You and I so humbly request that you protect and keep them safe and healthy.  I thank You for being in control of all things and that you know the number of every hair on their heads according to Jeremiah 10 and Luke 12:7. Watch over them and every area of their lives as You lead them to follow the path you have set for them. (1 Peter 2:21) Let them dwell in the shadow of your wings and when bad things or storms happen around them, then let them seek and find refuge in You. (Psalm 91, Jeremiah 29:13, Matthew 7:7)

I also pray that when my children are in the midst of the troubles in this world, that You will give them the strength and endurance to bear them. I pray that their faith will not fail, but rather, grow stronger each day. (Isaiah 40:31, Luke 22:32) Protect our children and grandchildren, Lord, from the attacks of the enemy who seeks to steal from, kill and destroy them, even now. (John 10:10)

I ask that Your precious blood, shed at the cross, will cover and protect them from all harm, all the days of their lives. I pray for these blessings in the Holy name of Jesus, my Rock, and my Savior.

Amen

Father God,

I come to you, asking you to protect our children from all hurt, harm and danger.Lord God assign an angel to each and every one of them to walk with them and guide them away from the tricks of the enemy. Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) says to "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you,, I will uphold you with my righteous hand." Father, I know Your words are true and do not return void. So please God, do the supernatural in their lives and keep them in your care. In Jesus Mighty Name I pray,

Lord,

I thank you for blessing me with my grandchildren.  Place a hedge of protection around my grandchildren when they’re going out and coming in. Keep them from every evil way (Psalm 121:7). I pray your angels take charge over them (Psalm 91:11). May they live long and happy because of Your protection. My prayer is that they grow to trust You Lord in all things (Psalm 91:2). Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever (Ephesians 3:20 & 21). In Jesus name.

Lord this grandchild is on a pathway of destruction. Please open her/his spiritual eyes so that she/he may see. Please show her/him that manipulation is not the way to live and that lies are from Satan (John 8:44 NIV).

Father, I pray that You will protect her/him from self (1st Peter 5:8, Eph 6:12 NIV). You know of her/his emotional and depressive state. Please deliver her/him. You have healed her/him from harming self, I know that you can deliver her/him from all hurt, harm, and danger. In Jesus name,

Dear Almighty God Jehovah,

You are the Father of all mercies and the God of all comfort. Please comfort  cancer patients as they face the undesired challenges of cancer. Only You know for sure how to heal and deliver them peace in this mental and physical condition. Though we don’t know why this has happened, we do know that nothing happens in this world without your divine wisdom. Please help us not to place blame when we go through painful and challenging trials. Help us to understand that the trials that Christians endure are meant to transform us into Your image.  I do believe that everything that takes place in the lives of each of Your children has a wider purpose in Your plan for our lives. Give ____________courage to hold onto the truth of Your Word, for You know "Your plans for her/him (and for each of us) are all for good."

Help _______ to face the future with courage, peace, and strength from You. Lord, there are many things that we may have planned to do in our lives which sometimes seem to evaporate, but help us to trust You and acknowledge that "our steps are ordered by the Lord".

________and I pray that in the time that we have left on this earth, you will hold us steady and help us to face the future with Your courage, strength and  wisdom as You are our "ever present help in times of trouble".

Use this trial--this cancer, this time of waiting, reflecting and  healing to draw us nearer to You, Lord Jesus, as I know that You love us and don't wish "any to perish". I ask these blessings in the name of Your Son, Jesus, whose body was broken for our healing.

Amen.

Prayers for Anxiety

Child's Anxiety & Stress

Prayer Author and Intercessor:

Sister Maxine Shackleford

Heavenly Father,

I come before you with thanksgiving in my heart, thanking you for all blessings known and not known. Father, I realize that all good and perfect things come from you! Out of obedience and convictions, I ask forgiveness for any sins I have committed. Father, I come lifting up our children and grandchildren that are dealing with anxiety and stress, especially during these difficult times. I come against the enemy who wants to steal their joy and destroy their minds. Your word says, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and to destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full." (John 10:10 NIV)

Father God, please take away any stress and anxiety in their homes and give them your peace. Point them to your scripture that says, "Do not be anxious for anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And, the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guide your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philip 4:6&7) In the Name of Your Son Jesus,

Amen!

Father,

I come to You asking that You remind my grandchild each day that you are her/his help in all that she/he does. (Psalm 121 KJV) Holy Spirit bring to her/his memory that it’s not in the flesh that she/he accomplishes anything, it’s because of Your goodness and mercy. Holy Spirit direct her/him to trust You, to direct her path. (Prov. 3:5-6 KJV). Thank you, Lord, for keeping her focused on her/his professional goal. I pray that she/he will seek Your face in all that she/he does, In Jesus name.

Amen.

Prayer For Those

Convicted of A Crime

Prayer Author and Intercessor:

Sister Rose Bryant

Heavenly Father I come before you boldly but with a humble heart to stand in the gab and to offer a prayer for our grandchildren who has been convicted and found guilty of a crime and is incarcerated.

Father it would be our hope that our grandchildren will know wisdom and instruction, to understand words of insight and to receive instruction in wise dealings in righteousness, justice, and equity; I pray that they will give prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion in their youth.

Proverbs 1:1-33

Father God for those who stumble in their youth and that don't know you in the pardoning of their ways, I pray they come to know you and confess that you are their Lord and Savior and you died on the cross for their sins so that they may be saved.

John 3:16

Father even if they stumble and no matter what crime they have committed, Father God you said if they confess their sins You are faithful and just to forgive them of their sins and to cleanse them from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9

Father God even though they are locked up let them proclaim you name throughout the prisons. Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.

Hebrew 13:3

Father God I pray that they know that you are the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

AMEN!
