“Believe” God Will Not Withhold No Good Thing from You

Article written by: Sister Joann C. Greene

Our Lord God is an everlasting Father, and he will never leave us nor forsake us. Luke 12:32 (KJV) Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. It is up to us to acknowledge, ask and accept Jesus Christ into our heart as our Lord and Savior.

My family and dear friends in Christ living in central FL just experienced a horrific storm from a category four hurricane and I can truly say the prayers of the righteous prevailed. I am speaking only to how God did not with hold no good thing from us. We were encouraged to be prepared for power outage and flooding but, by the grace of God there was no flooding in our areas and no power outage. Praise God for being our refuge and fortress. Psalm 91:2 (KJV) I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and fortress: my God; in him will I trust. We were able to check on each other with our electronics and verbally raising our voices because of the vicinity we are living in.

Believe: That God Is A Very Present Help In Time Of Trouble

Article written by: Sister Edna B. Ellison

I once had a pastor, Rev Earl Nobles who would often say, “If you don’t trouble trouble, trouble will trouble you”. Truer words have never been spoken. As we go through our lives some type of conflict will often appear. God’s word says, “I have told you these things, so that you can have peace because of me, in this world you will have trouble. But be encouraged! I have won the battle over the world.” (John 16:33) His word also says,” Human beings have only a few days to live. Their lives are full of trouble. (Job 14:1).

Obedience Is the Pathway to Victory

Article written and researched by: Sister Dianne Prince

So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God. Daniel 6:23 (NIV)

Daniel demonstrates to us the importance of having a regular prayer life, and the significance of trusting all our circumstances to God. He was a man who prayed consistently. The Bible says like clockwork, he prayed three times a day. One day, the King passed a declaration saying anyone who prayed to a God other than the king was going to be put to death. The Bible says when Daniel knew that the decree was signed into law, he entered his house and opened his windows toward Jerusalem. He prayed and gave thanks like he had always done. As a result, Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den.

We Were Created To Be Free

Article written and researched by: Sister Brenda Wider, Grandmothers of Hope Society, Inc.

Galatians 5:1

It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore, keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.

Those who trust in Christ have been set free. The law reveals our sinfulness, but it cannot provide a way out. Jesus is the only One who ever kept the law perfectly, and then He died to pay the penalty for the sins of others. Those who continue to follow the law in order to be right before God are still slaves to their own sin. Those who come to God by faith in Christ are free.

“Believe” That God is your Provider

Article written by: Sister Joann C. Greene, Grandmothers of Hope Society, Inc.

Guiding scripture: Philippians 4:19
“But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

During my lifetime of 74 years, I can truly say that God is my Provider.

Growing up in Orlando, Florida as a child, I was raised by my grandparents as my mother was still a very young girl of the age of 15, when she delivered me and brought me home to my grandparents. God showed himself as a Provider through my grandparents for my mother and me, everyday God thinks about us and provides for us. KJV Timothy 5: 8, Hebrews 13:16.

Believe: That God Loves You Unconditionally

Article written by: Edna Ellison, Grandmothers of Hope Society, Inc.

I have a relative that has lived a life of crime. There are situations that he recounted to me in no uncertain terms. Some horrific moments that he could not bring himself to articulate. In his present state, he has some serious physical ailments that could take him out of this world at any moment in time. When I asked if he had accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour, he said that he had, but that God would not forgive him for all that he has done. I explained to him that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
